Three things attract me to change:
1) it’s hard, and interesting. a worthy reason to learn.
2) it levels the playing field. In periods of rapid change- grit, creativity, and humility punch far above their weight. The more different ‘new’ looks from ‘old’, the more power redistributes. First mover advantages are high for both individuals and organizations.
3) it creates opportunity. Novel jobs and new companies exist either to cause change or in response to it.
These principles dictate where I focus professionally.
