John has more than 20 years of organisation development related experiences in both public and private sectors, having worked with established organisation such as MOE, EDB, MAS, OCBC, IBM, Red Hat and OKX. He has held leadership positions in various corporate settings, including client-facing business development and corporate planning job functions. John also has experience in building start-ups, having established his own corporate training company, and helping international companies penetrate into new markets for exponential growth.
In his corporate exposure, John has worked in the design, delivery and review of various courses like Negotiation Skills, Presentation Skills, Positive Conversations, Executive Influence and Critical Thinking Skills. He has also gathered much experience in the design of leadership development and leadership transition programmes, including the development of Leadership Development Roadmap describing the core competencies to be developed at the different leadership levels.
Leveraging on his past experiences as the Head of Planning with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Head of Organisation Development with OCBC Banking Group, he is gifted in helping organizations conceptualize a coherent strategy map, perform strategic workforce planning, create an end to end performance management framework and supporting system, design key performance indicators, build powerful business analytic tools and monitor systematically their corporate priorities.
John is also especially talented in high impact change management initiatives, with extensive experience in the facilitation of high performance team building, senior leadership retreats and employee engagement sessions.

Highly accomplished Staff Engineer in Cloud Security with over 9 years of experience architecting, implementing, and managing robust security solutions across complex multi-cloud environments. Expert in AWS, with advanced certifications including GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Cloud Penetration Testing (GCPN), Public Cloud Security (GPCS) and Cloud Security Threat Detection (GCTD). Proven track record in leading DevSecOps transformations, driving automated security integrations, and implementing innovative solutions to reduce attack surfaces. Skilled in bridging development and security teams, with a passion for cultivating security-first cultures. Combines deep technical knowledge with strategic thinking to enhance organizational security postures, leveraging expertise in cloud architecture, cloud detection and monitoring, and security automation. 
Dr Alvin Chan is the Yvon Pfeifer Professor of Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technologies at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (IAR), Cambridge Corporate University, Switzerland. As Chief Architect of the P.A.D.I. Artificial Intelligence Framework for Asia, he develops AI-readiness training programmes to support organisations in integrating artificial intelligence across sectors.
Previously, Dr Chan was Associate Professor and Academic Director at Raffles-Changchun University (RCU) in China, where he helped integrate Multiple Intelligence Theory with Problem-based Learning (MI-PBL) to improve teaching and learner engagement.
He supervises doctoral research in artificial intelligence, business, and education. Dr Chan is Chief Editor of Generative AI Review, an online platform showcasing research and perspectives on generative AI. He has taught business and technology courses at Indiana University and Villanova University (USA) and London Metropolitan University (UK).
Dr Chan developed the Learner Plus Profiling Suite (LPPS), which enables personalised learner profiling and educational strategies. His interests include Multiple Intelligence Theory, generative AI, and educational technology. He has trained educators in applying Multiple Intelligence theory, online teaching methods, and web-based educational tools. He is currently developing AI-powered classroom applications.
He serves on the editorial board of the Encyclopedia of Computer Graphics and Games (Springer) and is a peer reviewer for a Scopus Q1 journal in AI. Dr Howard Gardner recognises him as a contact for applied Multiple Intelligence in Singapore.
In 2024, Dr Chan presented on Adaptive Learning with AI at the APAC AI Conference in Education and on Multiple Artificial Intelligence—combining Gardner’s theory with AI technologies—at the World IT Forum. He has delivered webinars in the Philippines, including for the Grant Thornton Web Education Summit and Cagayan State University.
Dr Chan earned a BA (Merit) in Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from Nanyang Technological University, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University (UK), and a Doctorate of Business Administration from California Coast University (USA). He is also a Certified Master Facilitator of the TetraMap™ behavioural profiling system.
His interdisciplinary work focuses on the intersection of AI, education, and business, emphasising adaptive learning and technology integration in education.
