I would describe myself as an IT generalist with a strength in cyber/information security, risk, and compliance who aspires to provide the best solutions and assist organizations in as many ways as possible.
Currently, I work in the law firm industry as a Manager of Information/Cyber Security.
Brief overview of current responsibilities:
• Manage, analyze, and enhance the cyber security program
• Monitor all operations and infrastructure from a security viewpoint
• Strategize security components for all technology products
• Manage a Vulnerability Management program
• Manage a third-party risk management program
• Manage all third-party security vendors
• Manage and Maintain multiple compliance frameworks to controls
• Manage and Maintain DLP systems
• Conduct internal audits
• Manage pen test vendors yearly
• Interpret patterns of non-compliance to determine their impact on levels of risk
• Advise on cyber security training
• Conduct analysis of systems regarding Zero Trust
• Manage and participate in information security assessments
• Manage an incident response program
• Produce material for educational purposes on cyber security
• Work with different departments in the organization to reduce risk
• Maintain technical skills
• Observe and respond to Intrusion Detection System (IDS), MDS and EDS alerts
• Configure network security monitoring functions and provide detailed reporting
• Spread security awareness through internal community communication
• Works with IT Management to ensure compliance with Least Privilege Access
Throughout the past ten years in the industry, that came with many lessons, truly made me realize this is my passion and what I love to do. Outside of my day to day I enjoy to go hiking, spend time on research, be with family, eat and cook all cuisine, travel, snowboard, and playing chess.
