Software engineer with focus on value delivery.
As such I strive to understand the core business I operate in so that I can make decisions that help maximize value for my clients.
In terms of writing software, I strive to build systems that are well-tested, scalable, and extensible.
I strongly believe that software should be designed such that the key domain concepts and relationships are clearly represented in the code. This results in applications that can evolve without disruption as changes in the "real-world" domain occur, and where new key concepts that confer competitive advantage can quickly be incorporated in the software.
Finally, in today's world, creating successful software systems is a team activity. As such, I see mentoring as a crucial part of my job. As part of my mentoring style I like to help teammates understand not only what needs to be done, but also the reasons behind the decisions made and the trade-offs involved. Whatever the topic may be, from business domain concepts, to TDD, to asymptotic runtime analysis, I believe this leads to teams where continuous improvement and excellence become part of their culture.
Data Science Enthusiast with a robust foundation in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Data Science from the University of Calgary. Proficient in Python, R, C/C++, MATLAB, and Java, I bring a diverse set of technical capabilities to the table. My specialization in vibration analytics is highlighted by research projects such as "Vibration Based Fault Diagnosis of Automobile Hydraulic Brake System using Statistical Features - A Machine Learning Approach," which demanded a comprehensive understanding of data analysis and machine learning techniques.
