"Do What YOU Love What YOU Do." In 2004 I started working in DBS Bank while obtaining my part-time Degree in Banking & Finance. It taught me an important lesson on time management while juggling work and studies. After my Degree, I applied for an internal transfer within the Bank but was not approved. An opportunity came in 2006 from Manulife to join them as an Adviser. I proved myself with results and was promoted to Associate Unit Manager within a year. In 2009 I was invited by Prudential to lead my agency as a Financial Services Manager. Although life in the Financial Services has its frequent ups and downs, but I enjoyed my 6 years as a professional consultant role and the joy of helping clients. In 2011, somebody very close to me passed on, and this made me realized that I missed out on many important aspects during the 6 years of endless work which I then gave up the agency business that I had painstakingly build together with my team of consultants and left the industry. I took a year of sabbatical and rejoin the workforce in 2013. Recruitment came to my mind as I am still passionate in sales and wanting to help people achieve their goals. I then join a recruitment firm, RecuitPlus, and went into Technology and Engineering hiring. Not having a technical background, I took more effort and time in getting to know more about the industries and the technical terms, and soon got the hang of searching and placing many technical jobs. Till today, my candidates and clients are still friends with me. I have managed my own Recruitment Agency and being an entrepreneur I understand the sweat and tears behind a start-up. I have more than 8 years of Talent Acquisition experience locally and regionally as well as other aspects of the HR functions. Always interested in Technology and to work in a company of great work culture and vision.
