The Backstory:
I began my career in Resource Management at EY, before going on to develop and lead the Resource Management function at Baker Tilly. There, my role included overseeing a team of 50+ incredibly talented Resource Managers, through a period of tremendous growth and M&A activity. It was an exciting time for me - designing operational processes that would scale to meet the firm’s new, and larger footprint. My role expanded to oversee operations for the firm’s complementary workforce strategy, which involved standing up a joint venture and making a few trips to India.
Speaking of growth, I had 3 kids in 4 years during this timeframe, which had a significant influence on how I approached my career aspirations!
Fast forward to today, people say I am a thought leader and RM expert, but really I see myself as an advocate for resource management—not just in public accounting, but in life. My husband and I have six children between us, so needless to say, I see the importance of Resource Management everywhere.
Now, I advise across two key areas: technology and workforce strategy. I work with Dayshape on the tech side, and with Makosi, where I am a Partner, head of the RM Advisory Practice, as well as co-chair of their Board of Advisors. I also proudly serve as the founder and president of the Resource Management Executive Forum (RMEF)—a collective for senior RM leaders in public accounting.
I’m deeply committed to elevating this profession and the people behind it. Beyond advisory work, I act as a kind of “face of RM” and advocate for working parents—whether it’s speaking at the AICPA Global Women’s Leadership Summit, hosting the 'Resource Revolution' podcast, or emceeing an RM conference in London. I enjoy coaching RM professionals on a one-on-one basis, making cameos at RM team meetings, and generally evangelizing Resource Management and the intersection of work & life through my LinkedIn content, weekly newsletter, and three books I have on the topic.
What's next for me? Well, I am passionate about workforce strategy and creating pathways for working parents to have successful careers. Have an idea? Let's talk ;)
