Seasoned product leader, social product architect, and engineer.
Built front-end architecture as a software engineer lead for search, social, ads, video, and gamification across CNN, NBA.com, CN.com and a dozen other major consumer tech properties. Transitioned to merge social graph apis with consumer and behavioral insights to build brand new (0-1) social products for NBA.com. Managed the NBA Digital web product portfolio across 5-6 cross-disciplinary development teams iterating on new launches at a 6 week cadence for NBA.com and 30 team sites. Moved on to earn an MBA at the University of Chicago where I took multiple Investment Finance, Patent Law, Mobile Computing, General Management, and deeper product, strategy, and marketing courses while working for a VC firm and running a tech startup at night. Now iterating on consumer social products as a full-time tech founder (CTO and Head of Product).
I lead teams weaving what’s just become possible with the deep needs of long neglected markets to build products that spread organically. As a bootstrapped founder I’ve built hundreds of online prototypes to surface tech, product, social, consumer, and SEO advantages unavailable elsewhere (to the point of writing custom market validation software that can now iterate even faster). We then apply those to build profitable self-sustaining products that grow organically and fund more development, without using ads or external funding.
We specialize in online consumer products because when you love your craft enough to get those right, your users spread your work far beyond what any advertising budget ever could. Plus if your product is good enough for consumers, it is inherently also much better for B2B, SAAS, Enterprise and any other online/mobile sector (it can spread through product-driven growth). Consumer products we’ve created have attracted top car, aerospace, wall street, and silicon valley companies plus state agencies as major users, without ads, marketing, or sales of any kind.
