Stuart is an accomplished, curious, and tenacious education and technology leader with over 25 years of experience. He is a thought leader, an innovator, and a difference-maker. He excels at pioneering education and technology strategies that generate measurable improvements and has a proven ability to develop high-performance teams, identify and adopt research-proven strategies, and implement large-scale, enterprise-level projects. Currently, Stuart is the Associate Vice President of Learning Design at LearningMate where he specializes in implementing large-scale curriculum design and educational technology projects for clients. Stuart has spent much of his professional career helping underserved populations. This work started at CUIP (Chicago Public Schools | University of Chicago Internet Project), where he worked in 29 CPS schools helping principals, teachers, and students implement technology into the classroom. Stuart lives in Woodridge, IL where he serves as President of the Woodridge 68 Board of Education. Stuart holds a B.A. in English-Writing from Winona State University in Minnesota and an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Areas of expertise and accomplishment: leadership, education, educational technology, courseware, instructional design, project management, curriculum development, academic administration, learning management systems, online learning, blended learning, competency-based education (CBE), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), open educational resources (OER), adaptive learning, eLearning, contract negotiation, and grant writing and management.

Curriculum editor and developer with a special passion and interest in the Science of Reading. Trained, experienced, and skilled in Orton Gillingham for learners with dyslexia, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, lesson planning, creative curriculum planning and development, and creating strategies and storyboards to produce engaging and effective instruction. Strong education professional with a joyful heart and talent for designing unique experiences to enhance the development of each individual learner as a whole person.
