Adam is the author of #EventModeling and has over 3 decades experience in information systems, software development and architecture that defies the limitations of the industry's conventions - in the last 20 years focusing on #EventSourcing. He is also in the top 0.1% of Stack Overflow contributors globally with over 15 million developers reached. He aligns organizations to C-level and director-level management with shared vision, strategy and risk mitigation using the business-to-tech bridging strategy: Event Modeling. Adam is deeply involved with numerous groups and well connected to the industry leaders in the field of software development, architecture and modern methodologies. He introduced PAXOS to the CQRS development efforts which gave rise to a RAFT-like consensus implementation in Event Store. Contributed to Microsoft's Patterns and Practices book on CQRS. I'm a writer, poet, and the guy behind Zen Thinking. I have a weekly podcast and am the author of the soon-to-be-released book, Sparks to Awaken. I write about the infinite nature of conscious awareness, mindfulness, inspiration and motivation, simplicity and stillness, the end of suffering, non-duality, Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, Taoism, and all things Zen. My goal with Zen Thinking is to provide an entirely new perspective for people to consider their life through, one that allows them to live more wisely, with compassion, purpose, clarity and happiness. I want to help others awaken to their True Self, through the realization of the infinite nature of their inner being, one that's free from self-inflicted suffering. When I'm not writing, I'm usually wandering the beautiful mountains, forests and beaches of my home on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, along with my beautiful and talented girlfriend Jennifer, and my dog, Koda the Siberian Husky.

Currently, I am working for the City of Richmond as a Mapping Technician 2. I graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology's (BCIT) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Advanced Diploma program in June 2016. In 2014 I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography.
