I am currently an undergraduate student completing my Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language and Communication Disorders at Nova Southeastern University. I'm excited about the next phase of my academic journey, which involves pursuing a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Becoming a Speech Pathologist isn't just a career path for me; it's a calling fueled by my deep passion for helping others. I'm drawn to the profound impact speech pathologists can have on individuals facing communication challenges. Whether it's assisting a child with speech delays, helping a stroke survivor regain their ability to communicate, or supporting someone with a swallowing disorder, the opportunity to positively influence lives is incredibly rewarding. My specific areas of interest include specializing in Cognitive-Communication Disorders for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Dysphagia management, particularly in NICU populations and children ages 1-5, with a focus on early language development, articulation, and social communication. The prospect of contributing to someone's journey toward improved communication and quality of life is what drives my dedication to pursuing a career in speech-language pathology. As I look forward to beginning this new educational achievement, I am enthusiastic about the opportunities it will bring for further growth and learning.
