Christian Hübner is an economist and policy advisor/think tanker. At the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), he heads the Agenda 2030 Department within the Analysis and Consulting Division, focusing on sustainability, energy/resources, development, global health, climate change, and agriculture policies. With in-depth expertise in markets, regulatory policy, and the global geopolitical landscape, he provides cutting-edge insights and strategic recommendations to policymakers, international organizations, and other stakeholders. His global perspective is shaped by his previous leadership of KAS regional programmes on energy security and climate change in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. A sought-after commentator and speaker, he regularly publishes analyses and policy recommendations.

Forward-thinking, strategic, and results-driven leader with +14 years of experience driving technology products, ventures, and innovations across diverse segments, sectors, and markets. I thrive at the intersection of market intelligence, deep tech commercialisation, product growth, and high-performing team development.
My professional career includes serving 12 FTSE clients, driving new product and service development with +120 organisations, and leading +65 cross-disciplinary teams across nine countries and eight industry verticals. I worked with technical teams in Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Systems, 5G, and Quantum technologies— to achieve strategic product development, explore new venture opportunities, and innovate, all while harnessing customer & market intelligence.
Previously, I founded a market and public opinion research company, later acquired by a government agency. Recognised as an Accelerate EY Social Entrepreneur (2019) and KERNEL Fellow (2022), I have also built Growth Vikings, a 1,350-member community, and trained +500 individuals in innovation, product ownership, and agile transformations. In 2022, I won the Mubadala Capital FutureVC opportunity and served as a Data Product & Operations Consultant.
Currently, I lead Digital Catapult’s Innovation Practice as Head of Innovation, guiding clients through applied deep tech product innovation, digital transformation, investment appraisals, business cases and new venture building.
