My career experience at Google and Shopify gave me opportunities to work in a wide variety of areas, including backend infrastructure, full-stack experiences, API design, authentication, system design and cross-functional communication. I was a technical project lead for a full-stack infrastructure overhaul, from the server and database infrastructure, to the client-facing API design and changes. I mentored junior engineers on the team, scope work items, disambiguate problem spaces, and implement solutions. In parallel to my technical roles, I have been heavily involved in Equity & Diversity initiatives. I was a site lead on our Equity & Diversity Council, focusing on Progression & Retention of all our employees. I led an initiative to better support our new hires and new graduates as they transition into full time Google roles. Before moving into Computer Science, I studied Performing Arts with a focus on Musical Theatre performance.
