I am a social justice proponent with 15 years of expertise in training and facilitation, curriculum development, coaching, business development and fundraising, project management, program management, communications, and forging cross-cultural teams and partnerships in the nonprofit, entrepreneurship incubation, and government sectors. I am known for my positivity, persistence, accuracy, drive to improve processes, sense of initiative, creativity, and ability to keep calm under pressure. As a strong believer in the contact hypothesis, I am especially passionate about initiatives and organizations that provide the space for diverse individuals and groups to interact, dialogue, learn from, and collaborate with one another - resulting in the ultimate realization of our shared humanity and reduction of prejudice. Equally important is the leveling of the playing field for marginalized and underrepresented communities - whether that's leadership development programs for these populations or organizational interventions that facilitate inclusive mindsets and practices among the powers that be. I'm a senior learning and design strategist with over 20 years of experience working in information communication technologies (ICTs), global health and education. I collaborate with subject matter experts around the world to build thoughtfully designed learning experiences and performance support solutions that help clients make better decisions, improve their processes and implement more sustainable results. My knowledge and experience includes instructional design, technical project management of data-rich, custom web applications, user-interface design, including high fidelity prototyping and implementation on custom Content Management Systems (CMS), KM, communications, and training support. I have worked on several projects funded by USAID and the U.S. Department of State, but also for non-profit and higher education institutions. I enjoy working collaboratively with teams who are grappling to solve challenging problems in education, global health and social behavior change. My colleagues and clients have described me as responsive, productive, easy to work with, talented and resourceful. I am able to code and edit code in HTML/CSS and can work in any Content Management System (CMS) or Learning Management System (LMS). The tools I use depend on the project. I'm proficient in Adobe Creative suite (Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro for 508 compliance), Microsoft Office suite, Webflow, Articulate Storyline and Rise, SVN code repositories, Jira for issue tracking, as well as online financial forecasting tools to manage budget and burn rates. I've worked with a variety of collaboration, storage, and conferencing tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, Whereby, Notion, Box, and Dropbox. Currently, I'm seeking opportunities that will allow me to continue my work in international development, or more broadly social good. I'm interested in diving deeper into user experience (UX) research and design, design thinking, humane technology and social behavior change. My specific fields of interest are international development/foreign assistance, consulting, and higher education.
