Eduard's visionary commitment to transforming education led him to establish the University for International Cooperation in 1994 in Costa Rica, where he currently serves as the Rector and President. UCI has earned global recognition for its pioneering transdisciplinary programs. It embraced online education as early as 1996, challenging prevailing skepticism regarding the viability of graduate-level online offerings. Eduard stands as a prominent global advocate for regenerative development. His forward-thinking approach seeks innovative solutions to contemporary challenges through collaborative transdisciplinary efforts. This holistic approach seamlessly integrates economic, societal, cultural, environmental, political, and spiritual dimensions, improving global conditions and enhancing the well-being of all life forms. In July 2018, he spearheaded the Regenerate Costa Rica initiative (https://en.costaricaregenerativa.org/), a bioregional endeavor with support from over 40 international and national partners. Experienced cybersecurity professional with extensive leadership, strategic and tactical planning experience as well as implementation and deployment skills. Comprehensive applied knowledge of security concepts such as zero trust frameworks and network segmentation efforts; security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, XDR, ASM, NDR, and threat intelligence feeds as well as standards and policies such as NIST, SANS and GDPR. Proven ability to lead strategic discussions with large enterprises namely US federal, state and local government agencies, healthcare, financial and industrial enterprises and higher education institutions. Proven experience in also carrying out technical engagements to mitigate vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure within public utility firms, energy power plants and waste management plants. Comfortable in discussing an organization’s security architecture from a technical perspective through leading engagements such as zero trust framework workshops and product value assessments to find gaps and vulnerabilities within the environment that an organization can mitigate. Proven experience helping clients solidify their IR, BC and DR plans for a security breach. Equally comfortable in pricing and licensing discussions with enterprise licensing agreements, service level agreements, and MOUs as well as discussions with third party business partners, resellers and MSSPs. Professionally, Khushi specializes in artificial intelligence and data modeling, spearheading the development of AI systems that analyze social and review data to improve enterprise product insights. A passionate advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Khushi is the founder of the Superposition Bhilai Chapter, a nonprofit initiative that promotes STEM opportunities for women and differently abled individuals. Khushi’s global impact is reflected in her work as a Regional Officer for the European region of the UN SDSN Youth Program, where she engaged with cutting-edge research, policy development, and youth-led advocacy. Danielle Rappaport, PhD

I am a forest ecologist, remote sensing scientist, and entrepreneur working to help safeguard our 3.8-billion-year inheritance of life on Earth. The common thread through my 15-year career is a drive to translate science into action, a love for “walking the edges” between disciplines, and a passion for supporting economies that grow with nature. I am currently an Assistant Research Professor with NASA’s Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) at the University of Maryland. My research centers on leveraging satellite lidar, together with other modes of sensing, to evaluate the socio-ecological risks, opportunities, and trade-offs between competing land use priorities. I am particularly interested in advancing scientific and technological approaches for monitoring biodiversity and optimizing forest regeneration. I have worked across multiple continents to push the vanguard of ecosystem remote sensing by integrating space-borne, air-borne, and ground-based data to bridge the scale-gaps in understanding ecological change and informing actions.
