Hi, my name is Ryan French but most know me as #ryanfromDetroit! I once won a tough guy competition by high-fiving a 🐢 in homemade sandals and cutoff jean shorts back in the day…I have the picture to prove it! Now let's get down to the nitty gritty… I was born in Detroit and raised across the street where the Motor City’s sewage drains and the mayor had a few social security numbers (Google it). I did play kick-the-can as a kid, a couple of my childhood friends were in rival gangs and one of my favorite meals growing up was salisbury steaks. Let’s just say I got me some street cred...aight!?! I am a creative who started a wedding photography business at 17 and paid my way through Detroit’s premier engineering school (promised my parents I'd get the ⭐️). I also had this great idea to handcraft some sandals, starting my second company (on nights and weekends because who needs sleep, right, ha), selling into Japanese retail and immediately after, trading in my 🔨 for a pillow ( & six hours of sleep). Third best decision of my life. I currently serve as an Account Exec at UKG (the world’s best human capital and workforce management platform) where our purpose is people and I work tirelessly to support world-class enterprise customers through hard work, trusted partnerships & decaf coffee 😉! My desire to demonstrate leadership through humility and my passion for providing unparalleled customer service to the private and public sectors over the past two decades are just a couple of highlights in my career. Another that comes to mind is starting my third company (short lived) with one of my best buds, where I convinced him we could change academia by taking over the engineering co-op program but ended up becoming professors instead. At least we got a couple of Apple⌚️’s out of it (😂)! I have experience building and leading strategic GTM teams at tech companies (Series A through post IPO), serving as a Fortune 200 sales leader, partnering with global executives to drive digital transformation across the enterprise, inspiring college students to reach higher 🚀 and serving as the founder of three self-funded small businesses. I live to love and serve people so they can find the joy, purpose and the peace I discovered when I surrendered my life to Jesus over 25 years ago! I’m happily married to my best friend and high school sweetheart (20 wonderful years, thank you Lord) and it’s the joy of my life raising our two children together including coaching my son’s high school lacrosse and football teams!
