20+ years of experience (yep, I survived it all!) that took me from humble Frontend Developer to Managing Director—and oh, the titles in between! I’ve learned it’s not the title that brings the glory—it’s the person behind it. I've worked hard and hard worked (and maybe, just maybe, lucked out once or twice) to find myself in the right places at the right times. Here's how the epic journey went down:
Frontend Developer – 1 year of classic code and pixel-perfect layouts
Backend Developer (yep, JAVA) – another year of coding in the server-side trenches
Business Analyst + still Developer – analyst by day, dev by night
QA – 6 months of finding bugs nobody else wanted to
Team Lead QA – 6 months of making sure nobody else found those bugs, either
Java Dev Team Lead – 2 years, which in tech years is like a lifetime
Architect – designing the big stuff for 1 year
Junior Project Manager – learning the ropes in a PM role
Project Manager – 2 years in the driver’s seat
Senior Project Manager – the PM with a bit more seasoning
Program Manager – 2 years of big-picture managing
Solutions Manager – 4 years solving problems no one knew they had
Unit Manager – 1 year leading the way
Managing Director of Digital Experiences – 3 years making magic happen!
Eventually, I shifted to a remote setup, partnering with major consulting firms. These days, I’m dedicated to helping organizations streamline operations and add value through top-notch software, project management, and efficiency. Along the way, I’ve built and led remote and local teams who know how to get things done. My passion? Transforming complex business goals into practical, working solutions while optimizing processes to make life easier (and a lot more predictable).
A Few Life Lessons Along the Way
- I couldn’t care less about who gets the credit—just what we accomplish together as a team.
- Every day, I work to empower and recognize the people around me.
- I have a soft spot for adrenaline (perfectionism is my sidekick).
If you’re into business, tech trends, or just have a shared love for anything with an engine (cars, quads, boats—yes, all of it!), reach out. P.S. I’m based on a little slice of heaven called Porto Santo, right in the middle of the Atlantic. If you’re nearby, don’t be a stranger—drop me a message!
