I’m an award-winning author, speaker, and CEO advisor who guides companies, teams, and product leaders in leveraging creative thinking to elevate their organizations, conquer their markets, and maintain relevance in a fast-changing world. My career has taken me on a 25+ year journey, from a successful career in the film industry in Los Angeles as a member of the Directors Guild of America to iconic brands, such as Amazon, Best Buy, Discovery, T-Mobile, and Apple. I’ve built teams from the ground up and led multiple first-to-market products; I was on the front end of the earliest digital media subscription services from major content brands like Major League Baseball, NASCAR, CNN, and ABCNews and co-authored a patent currently held by Intel. I’ve led internal innovation labs and am an IDEO-trained leader in Design Thinking. As an advisor to startups and enterprises, I’ve coached teams to break through barriers to innovation and serve the sweet spot that lives at the intersection of customer and business value. An artist selects the medium for their work based on the look, feel, or message they want to convey. That medium might be paint, clay, wood, or metal. Data is my medium of choice. My strengths lie in using data and numbers to create meaningful analysis and visualizations, highlighting the wins and opportunities important to the end user. I develop strong working relationships with all levels in an organization, catering analytics to the unique needs of each - whether it be high level strategy, or in the weeds and tactical. While my past experience is in healthcare, advertising, PC gaming, and social media, applied in both domestic and global markets, I am open to all opportunities that allow me to use data and numbers to influence business decisions and change.
