I’m one of New Zealand’s leading blockchain engineers having co-founded the globally traded cryptocurrency Navcoin in 2014, blockchain lab Encrypt S in 2015 and cryptocurrency tax calculator Taxoshi in 2019. By trade I am a senior software engineer specialising in full stack JavaScript/TypeScript with over 12 years experience. I have been the lead engineer on a wide range of projects including blockchain wallets, corporate websites, project management apps, award winning advertising campaigns, financial advisory apps and tax software. I have a deep knowledge of agile methodology and have a passion for building or refining processes to help streamline software development and delivery. My technical expertise includes blockchain protocol architecture, multi-platform application development, website and API integration, database architecture, user interface design and everything in between. I have spoken on blockchain at corporations and events around New Zealand, Australia and South East Asia, and as such I am a good communicator who can simplify complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.

My career began in the fast-paced world of marketing for Fortune 500 companies, but I found my true passion at the intersection of emerging technologies and product management. In 2016, I made a move transitioning into tech, relocating from the US to Australia, and immersing myself in the art and science of product management. As the first Product hire at Immutable, the fastest company in Australia to unicorn, I had the privilege of helping shape the world's first layer-2 scaling solution for NFTs on Ethereum and a developer platform for web3 games. Being at the forefront of such a nascent technology was exhilarating, fueling my passion for solving complex problems and driving meaningful change in digital ownership. This journey continued at Protocol Labs, where I focused on a critical challenge in preserving the integrity of digital ownership through perpetual storage solutions for off-chain data using the Filecoin Ethereum Virtual Machine (FEVM). As part of this work, I led the spin-out of NFT.Storage from Protocol Labs, establishing it as an independent entity, which I now lead. NFT.Storage provides scalable infrastructure that aims to ensure NFTs are backed by decentralized, long-term storage, empowering developers and safeguarding the future of the web3 ecosystem. I thrive on solving complex problems, leading teams, and building platforms that redefine what’s possible in technology. Whether it’s web3, AI, or other nacent technology, I’m committed to driving meaningful and lasting impact.
