I am the Founder & CEO of EMOTIV, a neuroinformatics company advancing the understanding of the human brain using electroencephalography (EEG). I'm a technology innovator, entrepreneur, business executive, and sought-after speaker. Today, EMOTIV's award-winning technology (Red Dot Award, AutoVision Innovations Award, Australian International Design Awards, Australian Engineering Excellence Awards) is a recognized world leader and pioneer in the field of mobile EEG & brain-computer interfaces with researchers in over 140 countries. Our accolades include the Red Dot Award, AutoVision Innovations Award, Australian International Design Awards, and the Australian Engineering Excellence Awards. Over the years, I've been honored with several prestigious awards such as the 2018 Innovation Research Interchange (IRI) Achievement Award for pioneering mobile EEG systems and advancing brain research. Other recognitions include the G'Day USA Global Innovation Awards, Advance Global Australian Award for ICT, AutoVision Innovations Award, and Monash University Distinguished Alumni Award. I was named a National Geographic Emerging Explorer in 2013. I've been featured in the Who's Who in Australia list since 1999, Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Technology in 2010, and Forbes' 50 Names You Need to Know in 2011. I've also been an Ambassador for the Status of Women since 2001. Named Young Australian of the Year in 1998, my story is featured in the National Museum of Australia. I was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2009. In 2018, my portrait was added to the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia - an honor bestowed on prominent Australians whose lives set them apart as an individual of long-term public interest. In addition to my work with EMOTIV, I was appointed to the Group Board of QBE Insurance in September 2020, a general insurance and reinsurance company. QBE offers commercial, personal, and specialty products and risk management solutions. QBE is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and employs more than 11,700 people in over 27 countries. From May 2022, I have had the privilege of serving as the Chair of the People & Remuneration Committee.
