After five successful years in media and public relations, I transitioned to earning my Doctor in Physical Therapy at my undergraduate alma mater, UNC-Chapel Hill, and became a licensed physical therapist in North Carolina in August 2020. My clinical experiences include outpatient orthopedics, acute trauma and general medicine, inpatient rehabilitation with neurologic focus, and home health.
Additionally, I have given multiple lectures relevant to physical therapy with particular interest in fall risk prevention, general effects of aging, and fracture care and PT-guided management. I have also contributed to a balance and fall risk peer-reviewed study published in the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, using Otago exercises and Microsoft Kinect cameras to engage at-risk populations in core, back, and leg strengthening and balancing exercise regimens. I have interest in geriatric populations, general orthopedics with specific interest in total joint replacement and arthritis, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and wellness.
