I build AI tools that expand access to high-quality mental well-being support, grounded in psychological science and ethical, equitable design. As Chief Clinical Officer at Wayhaven, I lead clinically informed product strategy, ethical implementation, and institutional adoption strategy, shaping safety guardrails, building trust with users and partners, and extending ethical, science-grounded design into market credibility. I also serve as adjunct faculty in Stanford Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where I co-authored the FAITA-Mental Health framework to guide responsible AI development and evaluation. My background spans digital health, higher ed, and clinical leadership. I’ve led AI mental health product development at Woebot, built Brightside’s nationwide therapy function from the ground up, and managed Google’s national employee mental health program. I’ve worked across product, content, trust and safety, and care delivery teams to build scalable, evidence-aligned tools. This experience bridges implementation and oversight, guiding product build and setting durable norms for safe deployment. My work centers on translating psychological principles into scalable tools that address risks like maladaptive use and create resilience-based flows promoting well-being and adoption. Known for operating across frontier AI safety and fit-for-purpose mental health contexts, I translate science- and ethics-informed principles into safeguards and features that scale, earning trust from users, organizations, and partners. I co-lead the APA's Mental Health Technology Advisory Ethics Subcommittee and Stanford Psychiatry’s Mental Health Technology Innovation Hub, co-chair ABCT’s AI Subcommittee, and contribute to other task forces across sectors for mental well-being in AI, shaping federal and international guidance. I’m completing a postdoctoral master’s in clinical psychopharmacology and advanced training in integrated primary care in British Columbia, focused on building more comprehensive, patient-centered behavioral health products and systems. I’ve been recognized as a Forbes Healthcare Innovator, a Digital Health Canada Emerging Health Leader, and an invited speaker on the ethics of AI in mental well-being and clinical practice. I’m especially interested in connecting with others shaping the future of ethical, scalable, clinically grounded AI for mental health and well-being and helping define what comes next.
