Simon Oldfield is a highly regarded curator, art dealer and lawyer. He is known for his unique combination of skills, breadth of knowledge, strong network and adept understanding of key stakeholders. Simon has forged longstanding relationships with private and corporate art collectors across the globe, helping his clients build and maintain world-class art collections. He curates programmes in collaboration with major institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts, Tate, and Arts Council England, and also at his former eponymous gallery including one of the first solo presentations of paintings by Michael Armitage. Simon is also an expert on the convergence of art, business, tech and law. He takes a hands-on approach, working closely with his impressive range of clients including Hauser & Wirth, BMW, Grosvenor Estate and Arcual (Art Basel/MCH & Luma Foundation), who trust him with their most complex and strategic issues. Established as a leading figure in his field, Simon is a sought-after consultant. He is an accomplished strategist and negotiator, and brings a unique perspective to a range of situations, providing his clients with market advantage. Simon's clients value his results-driven, pragmatic and friendly approach. Simon is also a prominent public speaker, and has delivered talks and papers to numerous organisations including the Vatican/Deloitte’s Art & Finance Conference, London School of Economics, Kunsthalle Zurich, Art Basel, Amazon, BMW Welt, Talk Art, The Arts Club, Society of London Art Dealers, Laguna Art Museum of California and Hauser & Wirth. He is also called upon to gives expert opinion and evidence including submissions to a House of Lords' cross-party Parliamentary enquiry into the impact of technology on the creative industries. He co-founded Pindrop with author and broadcaster, Elizabeth Day; a much-loved art and literature organisation working with celebrated artists, writers and actors. He has sat on the judging panel for various awards including the British Book Awards, the Caitlin Art Prize, the Jerwood Drawing Prize and the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, and written for Monocle, Harper's Bazaar and FT Weekend. Simon also compiled and edited two editions of A Short Affair (Scribner/RA), a book uniting art and literature with bestselling writers and leading artists. Simon is a Partner at Keystone Law and he is a full member of the Art Lawyers Association.
