My extensive background working in the financial services industry to streamline and create technical processes and systems to meet company goals and objectives has provided me the unique ability to understand and work with both senior leaders and technical teams to develop effective processes and systems. I have experience in merging infrastructure, software systems, and processes through mergers and acquisitions, as well as the ability to identify key areas to improve internal systems to meet federal regulations and requirements. As a child, I was always the good kid; that annoyingly reliable child who took on raising the flag in front of the school every morning and returning it, always folded properly, each afternoon. You know... a nerd. Also, growing up in a family of teachers and engineers, I developed a curiosity for how things work and a creative approach to problem solving. Looking back, it seems I was preparing to be a product geek even before I knew what that was.
As a product owner for SunTrust, I built out and relaunched a commercial card product suite that became the company’s fastest-growing payment solution with annual sales growth of more than 25 percent every year for five years running. As a start-up founder in WellShore, I designed a cutting-edge value proposition and created the corporate framework for a budding international healthcare payments and logistics start-up.
My curiosity drove me to seek out a rich and varied business experience. I've worn many hats in my career – product management, application design, process re-engineering, sales, operations, pricing, financial analysis, marketing, communications, strategy, and more. The wonderful opportunities I’ve been blessed with have helped me develop a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to successfully navigate solutions to complex challenges.
I speak the different languages within technology-driven companies: tech geek, sales, operations, product, marketing, design, communications, training, legal, compliance, supplier relations, and senior management.
