I’m a UX Research leader passionate about the intersection of research, design, and product strategy. I've spent over a decade conducting and leading research projects with B2C and B2B companies ranging from small startups, Nike, Honeywell, to Atlassian and now Canva. My happy place is when research insights are out of reports, and being actively applied by teams to make better product decisions. I’m passionate about ensuring research is informing the most complex problem spaces in a business; helping de-risk crucial design decisions; and constantly identifying opportunities to improve users’ experiences. I strive to always create an inclusive, pschologically safe (and fun!) team. I aim to be an empowering leader and Multiplier. I’m energized by seeing team members achieve their professional goals and enjoy identifying opportunities for them to do this. Some of my personal values include autonomy, authenticity, and growth. I currently lead Design Research at Canva. I was hired as the first researcher over 3 years ago, and have since grown the team to 20+ team members.

As an editor/writer with almost two decades of content, design, and dev experience, I'm the perfect person to make sure your design deliverables, marketing emails, website copy, blog posts—anything a client or boss will see—are clearly written, consistent, and error-free. SKILLS UX Writing - Developing internal guidelines, maintaining the copy codebase in Github - Formulating language to help users understand new functionality and encourage them to use it - Writing and refining interface copy as features are added and enhanced, including new mobile app copy.
