Oghenerukevwe currently works with the Australian Equities team at Schroders with a primary focus on Tech, Payments, Small Banks, Education, Gold Mining, Diversified Financials and Miscellaneous Industrials. She holds a Master's in Finance and Investment with Distinction from a top 5 UK university. She graduated top of her College and Department at Covenant University, where she got her Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
She has over 5 years of cumulative working experience in Financial Services sectors such as Public Sector Finance, International Trade Finance, and Wealth & Investment Management; and about a year in roles non finance focused roles. Her interest in finance and investment spurred her to work with firms in financial services, while her curiosity to explore and solve complex problems led her to take roles outside finance.
She has also been creating easy-to-understand personal finance content for over 5 years between her newsletter, The Beginner Investor, and her Twitter account, which have collectively amassed an audience of over 65,000. In 2020, her work on her LinkedIn newsletter earned her recognition as 1 of LinkedIn’s Top 10 Voices in Finance and Economy, making her the youngest person ever to be honored in this category.
She has earned the Chartered Investment Management (IMC) qualification in the UK, and passed Levels 1 and 2 of the CFA qualification. She is an Associate of the Association of Accounting Technicians of West Africa and an alumna of the SEO Africa Development Finance Programme.
