I love computers! My first time with a computer was when I was five years old. It was the computer my dad got for the home office. It just sat there until my dad got his friend to install Windows 95 on it. I realised that this computer is not only for tedious office work but can also be used to play games, watch cartoons and even draw! I began to ask questions like 'How does Tarzan know to jump when I press the Space Bar?', 'How did it all work?', 'What other cool stuff can this computer do for me?'. My love for computers grew, and I became tech-savvy enough to warrant me as the family and friends' beloved tech consultant. Fast forward to now, I am reading for my Master of Engineering Software Engineering degree by research. The computing industry is brimming with new developments for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Still, guaranteeing safety, accuracy, and reliability is a challenge, particularly for automation for the manufacturing, health and transportation industry. The classification issue is still proving a challenge for machine learning algorithms. As an exercise, try searching for 'dog' in the Photos application on your phone and see how many photos that pop contains a dog. I got some cats and a friend's silhouette doing yoga in the search results. Yikes! My research will explore the current challenges in computational biology to better diagnose people that may be exhibiting signs of depression using ML and AI and contribute to the emerging research in this field. I also have experience in the .NET Framework and the C# programming language. I have worked with Windows Forms, ASP .NET MVC, ASP .NET Web API, and ASP. NET Web Forms Applications as well as Entity Framework ORM. I can demonstrate competence in SQL as well as in areas such as database optimisation and design. As a software engineer, I yearn to write clean, readable and maintainable code. I love reading and writing clean code and learning new techniques that will help me keep my work organised and coherent. The best thing about being a software engineer is seeing people enjoy using a product that you helped put together with much effort and love. I am looking for opportunities to demonstrate my competence, learn and grow in this career.

For the past 9 years, I have worked in similar capacity at GMR GROUP and ITC LIMITED where my responsibilities included predictive and statistical analysis using machine learning, data mining, ETL design and development, text analytics, optimization, database design and development and development of business dashboards on the data related to passengers and guests . At ITC limited (leading chain of hotel ) in India, I designed, developed and delivered a completely automated analytics-based product for intelligently generating weekly room rent based on guest booking pattern which combined ETL for data mining and data processing, room rent prediction using combination of regression, decision trees, profit optimization with dynamic programming based greedy optimization and formulated an interactive dashboard on tableau to generate and access economic value of generated room rent . The system was developed using combination of R, Python, SQL, Tableau and Excel working in tandem to make product actionable. I also worked on a number of energy optimization measures and optimized airline operation using predictive and prescriptive modelling techniques. I have excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. I am very effective working cross functionally and achieving alignment between groups with differing points of view. I forge lasting relationships, engage stakeholders, and effectively institute change by bringing people together. I am attuned to my customers, delivering excellent services and education on products.
