I challenge myself with new technologies. I have worked and supervised research- and industry-oriented projects regarding the security of decentralized systems. In my PhD, I have worked on the security, privacy, scalability, and economic aspects of blockchain technology. In my postdoc, I worked on robust collaborative machine learning models regarding adversarial examples and poisoning attacks. Currently, I work on building decentralized compute for training large AI models in heterogeneous environments.

I am a cryptography researcher with a classical cryptography training and I have both academic and industry experience. I am passionate about designing cutting edge cryptographic systems inspired by real-world requirements. Recent experience: Co-author of PLONK; actively working on designing custom SNARKs and ultra-light clients for blockchain bridges, efficiency optimisations and formally proving security of new cryptographic schemes, security auditor.

I have more than 20 years of experience producing product, brand, and innovation strategies for the retail; out-of-home leisure and property sectors.   I am experienced in product design, development and management, as well as building and leading great teams within organisations. Prior to founding both Roomio and Artsupply, and co-founding Silver Sharers (now nestful.io), I held a senior position within the management team of a successful property marketing business - creating and directing the strategy for growth for the business, leading design and customer experience teams, overseeing operational implementation of new products and taking primary responsibility for all company brand and communication activities.
