I only read LinkedIn messages weekly. Try email. Check out my IP book at amazon.com - Ownability: How Intellectual Property Works. I help innovators, scientists, and engineers turn ideas into assets. I practice intellectual property and corporate law. Every few years or so, I teach college classes in creative problem solving and entrepreneurship. In rare cases, I join startups as a founder. I write occasionally and speak frequently. See http://www.brentbritton.com/?page_id=89 I promote the progress of science and the useful arts. Just like the Framers intended. I once founded a law firm in San Francisco called Britton Silberman & Cervantez. We had a monthly gathering called "ex parte." Then we sold it. I am admitted to practice law in California (1994), New York (2004), and Florida (2005). All this means is I've passed 42 hours of bar exams. Some seemingly well-intentioned folks routinely inform me that I am among the "Best Lawyers in America" and "Florida's Legal Elite" and "Martindale Hubbell rated AV-preeminent" but I'm not entirely sure any of that is terribly meaningful. I hold degrees from the University of Maine, the The Media Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Boston University School of Law. They are approximately a million years old.
