I'm an attorney and trusted advisor who provides practical, results-oriented counsel in complex (and sometimes not-so-complex) employment litigation. With experience across the banking, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, and transportation sectors, I tailor my approach to meet the needs of each client.
I represent businesses in many kinds of disputes, including employee defection, trade secret, restrictive covenant, wage and hour, employment discrimination, unemployment, contract, defamation, and business tort cases. I'm effective both at trial and on appeal, drawing from my time as a district court law clerk to persuade fact-finders and my time as an appellate court law clerk to craft clear, compelling, and strategically focused briefs.
A proud "Double Buff," I earned my B.A. summa cum laude in political science and my J.D. from the University of Colorado, where I served as an articles editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. While in school, I had the good fortune of interning in the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, among other places.
I'm licensed to practice law in Colorado and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. I’m also a member of the William E. Doyle Inn of Court.
Outside of work, my wife, Miranda, and I are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing together. I've climbed all fifty-eight Colorado fourteeners and approach my clients’ legal challenges with the same planning and determination, helping them reach their own summits however defined.
