I create engaging learning solutions for the diverse companies and individual learners with whom I work and instruct. I've been lucky to work in many traditional and non-traditional education settings and love blending the fundamentals of pedagogy with the agility and open-mindedness of the tech and startup world.
The diverse experiences of a career that has spanned roles teaching music lessons, French literature/linguistics, and more recently in tech and product education has taught me to have a great deal of flexibility in developing and delivering educational resources and trainings across the spectrum of in-person and virtual learning. I am incredibly passionate about making learning engaging and fun while empowering learners with skills and knowledge. I am a lifelong learner who thrives in improving operations and systems and getting into the nitty gritty details to find elegant solutions to common problems.
In my role as Global Director of Education, my team and I create engaging learning solutions for our customers, partners, and growing internal team at Planet. I work with a diverse and talented group of instructional designers, learning experience designers, technical writers, and community managers to craft engaging on-demand and live training resources, technical documentation, and in-person events.
We work with hundreds of customers and partners across the globe to help them understand how to use Planet tools and data in their daily work. And just as importantly, we focus on educating and onboarding every new team member at Planet to ensure they have the resources and support they need to thrive and develop their careers.
In my free time, I'm a singer/songwriter with ten albums of my own and multi-instrumentalist who has toured and played with many groups. I am an avid cook, bilingual French speaker, woodworker, cat dad, diehard Kansas/KC sports fan, and general adventurer.
