Previously, as Chief Operating Officer at Rare Candy, an online collectibles start-up, Rufus was instrumental in its rapid growth, overseeing operations, marketing, sales, FP&A, and HR, and driving a 750% revenue increase within the first year. At Stitch Fix, Rufus held several key leadership roles over seven years, managing the P&L for eight warehouses across the U.S. and U.K., expanding the network from 500K to over 5 million square feet, and growing the warehouse team from 700 to 4,500+ employees. He was pivotal in navigating the company through the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring employee safety while maintaining operational continuity, which led to record sales of $2.1 billion. He also achieved an 83% increase in labor efficiency and a 23% reduction in labor costs. Earlier in his career, Rufus held marketing roles at Yahoo! and Federated Media Publishing, driving user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. His dual expertise in operations and marketing uniquely positions him to lead organizations through strategic expansions and complex market challenges. Rufus holds a B.A. in Business from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
