Dr. Max Bernt is Taxbit's Global Head of Regulatory Affairs & Managing Director for Europe. He holds a PhD in transnational criminal law and related regulatory affairs, focusing on transnational collaboration and information reporting in the fight against organized crime. Moreover, Max has served as board member of several international companies and trade associations and has extensive practical background in criminal defense litigation, working at a renowned law firm in Vienna for over 8 years and, based on his achievements, was also appointed to the Austrian judge exam, which he passed in 2020 with distinction. Max lectures at different Universities, has published numerous articles with well-known publishers and regularly acts as an advisor and speaker in the area of crypto-related regulation. In his positions, he has been heavily involved in the European Union's work on the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), the crypto-related tax reporting Directive DAC8, the recent anti-money laundering package as well as the OECD's work on the Crypto Asset Reporting Framework (CARF). Currently, Max serves as GBBC's Global Ambassador for Taxation as well as acting Co-Chair of the Business Advisory Group to the OECD's Working Party 10 negotiations on CARF.

Eric is a Creative Director with more than 15 years of design and creative experience spanning TV, print, multimedia and web for some of the world’s leading brands. Combining innovation with practicality, creativity with marketability, and an unswerving focus on business results, Eric is a high-energy outstanding presenter with great communication and cross-cultural team management skills. He has successfully implemented the production and campaigns of a client portfolio that includes global brands like Samsung, Panasonic, Volkswagen, Elite Models, BMW, JVC and Daikin amongst others. Having worked on the production of shows such as Elite Model Look World (as well as the China and Singapore shows), Eric has also organised concerts and beach parties for international artists the likes of Iyaz, Kevin Little, Black Eyed Peas official DJ Motiv8 and the super club. Amnesia, amongst others. In 2014, Eric delved into the world of Bitcoin, igniting a transformative journey for his creative agency, IKON Media. Ever since, IKON has been instrumental in empowering numerous startups through tailored branding and creative strategies within the innovative blockchain industry. Eric has orchestrated blockchain fundraising events, official receptions, and after-parties across Asia, including Singapore, for prominent entities such as ACCESS Singapore, Blockshow, Consensus, Invest Asia, and Token 2049. His initiatives have brought together industry experts, investors, and pioneering blockchain startups, culminating in the launch of Native Capital, a consortium of crypto natives dedicated to nurturing startups within the Web3 ecosystem. An international creative director, filmmaker and photographer for the past ten years, I have strong technical and cinematographic expertise developed through working in a variety of settings and in over 10 countries, from creating children’s programs for French TV channels to shooting conferences and promotional videos for multinational companies. I have an excellent track record managing creative teams and freelancers as well as liaising with stakeholders such as private clients and country offices. A strong independent worker, I am able to adapt to different working, social and cultural contexts, having shot in corporate settings with state of the arts equipment (Red, Phantom), as well as in sensitive and challenging environments such as Qatar or Ethiopia. Currently working as in-house Senior Creative Director / Video Producer for the Tokyo-based blockchain company Cardano/Emurgo, I manage a team of international filmmakers and photographers. My responsibilities include pre-production (e.g. organising interviews, writing scripts…), filming, editing and producing online video content to a high standard for their global platform. I have so far produced and directed a series of short promotional documentaries focusing on the benefits of the technology in the U.S, Japan and Ethiopia. Prior to this, I worked as Senior Creative Director / Video Producer for the world leading ship-broking company Clarksons, producing promotional videos, animations and infographics for internal and external purposes. As manager of the team, I was responsible for quality assurance, ensuring brand guidelines and briefs were adhered to by both in-house and freelance employees. I also led on creative photography, contributing my skills to large advertising campaigns.

At the age of 18, I had a job where I was thoroughly immersed in international work environment. Disneyland Paris, my first international workplace, was rewarding by gaining me valuable work experience in the restaurant-, hospitality- and tourism industry and by allowing me to establish strong connections with customers from all over the world. I learned about customer relationship management and customer experience as well as business strategies and sales operations. At times busy working environment taught me to perform at my best even on hectic days. This trip also gave me valuable knowledge of guest service, international business customs and communications. Since then, I have obtained a degree of a bachelor of business administration and gained further work experience, for example as an office assistant in a consumer goods and import company in Finland. I have studied in Nice, France in a business school via a student exchange program. At the moment I am realizing my dream of studying French and communications at university.
