Nkrumah has branded himself as a "Master Connector" for his clients by making strategic & well calculated introductions which most often lead to lucrative business opportunities. He provides global sales strategy and business development advisory. In addition, Nkrumah also takes pride in curating thought leadership forums. Prior to joining PKF O'Connor Davies and founding PLG | Consulting, Nkrumah worked with national search firms in a business development capacity. A majority of his success can be attributed to his participation in networking groups and professional associations. In the summer of 2013, Nkrumah was honored as one of The Network Journal’s Forty Under Forty Professionals of Color in the United States. Currently he is co-chair for the board of the Apollo Theater's Young Patrons, a member of the Lafayette College New York City Alumni Chapter and the steering committee of The McDonogh Group. He is also actively involved with a number of other organizations including NYC Bar's Diversity Pipeline, Opportunity Network, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, and Harlem Children’s Zone. While in college Mr. Pierre was President of Brothers of Lafayette (A minority men’s empowerment organization), a resident advisor for two years, a member of CIRCLE Entrepreneurs, and a member of Lafayette’s Division I Lacrosse Team. Nkrumah received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Lafayette College. The emergence of blockchain technologies upended the traditional financial services model. Following the initial application for cryptocurrency, the industry is now adopting blockchain for conventional banking operations. Other industries are looking at the success the financial services industry has realized and are exploring the use of blockchain in their companies. A renowned expert in this nascent field, I work with clients to create disruptive operating models that optimize revenue, minimize risk, and power innovation. I began my career in the capital markets and securities industries, working on the sector's front lines during a time of significant evolution driven by transformative regulatory changes, globalization, and the emerging digital economy. Always intrigued by finding new ways to solve existing problems, I became interested in blockchain and its potential to fundamentally redefine the very idea of what currency is. I was recruited by Accenture to lead its blockchain practice and advise clients in the capital markets on strategies to maximize their performance. A prolific writer and public speaker, I authored many white papers and delivered presentations to industry leaders on how embracing this new technology could benefit their top and bottom lines. I built my reputation as a premier thought leader in the field, which compelled Deloitte to recruit me to run the firm’s global blockchain lab. I led a global team of innovators to craft blockchain solutions for clients in all industries. I also created a client consortium. We brought together leaders from client companies to share ideas, discuss risks and benefits, and identify problems for which blockchain could be a solution. This enabled client service teams to fully align with the market and its pain points, rather than focusing exclusively on internal capabilities.
