Throughout my 12-year career, I've been humbled and, quite honestly, lucky, to advise and empower college students to create change on their campus, coach career changers in becoming software engineers, and recruit, source, and interview technical talent to take the next step in their career journey. I'm currently doing this as a member of the Talent team at Coalition. In these experiences, I've learned a few things about people: Every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impression - this thinking drives my positive, upbeat, warm approach to communication with everyone. Period. Radical candor and empathy are pillars to strong relationships - Whether as a recruiter or career coach, I build relationships through honest and clear communication while putting myself in their shoes. This is an area I'm working on! People remember - They remember how you hear and treat them.
