Born at LaGuardia Hospital in Queens, New York, JP has always had passion for the arts, music, film, technology and iconography. Inspired by DJ's, artists, musicians, actors, comedians and art. His professional career began at HBO, but then quickly graduated to Sony Music, where he coordinated Ron Grant’s R&B Showcase for record executives at in-house boutique labels like Epic, Columbia, 550 Music & the WORK Group.
From there, JP established Audiology Recording Studio with a partner & some clients were Ice T, Treach, Lil Kim, Sticky Fingaz, Fat Joe, Phife Dog along with Select Records, Elektra Records, Atlantic Records, Jive/Zomba Publishing, Def Jam Recordings, Violator Management & Bad Boy Entertainment. Always ahead of the curve, JP invested seed capital to start 'Silverback Digital Studios', a successful HD Video Editorial Production Company in partnership with Benny Boom's Gorilla Flix Production company under HSI Productions. Silverback Digital Studios credits include Def Jam's Anniversary DVD for the movie Scarface.
Additionally, JP helped a little known music industry start up named 'Digiwaxx Media LLC'. Before the inception of Digiwaxx Media, JP incubated one of it's founders with affordable housing. Even further still, he worked with the founders in that same apartment that served as Digiwaxx's first office. Furthermore the first internal database that 'Digiwaxx' ever used to collect DJ feedback & report it to music labels like Elektra was created & designed by JP & CL using very early versions of Filemaker Pro.
A brief stint selling sub-prime mortgages & then becoming a licensed Series 7 Stock Broker in July 2008 right before the major financial crisis in 2008, put him back at the starting line yet again.
Then to avoid any responsibility JP started DJ'ing at local bars in Harlem, NY. During his time as a DJ, JP also worked with Bank Associates Merchant Services in Brooklyn while establishing new strategic corporate partnerships.
As a Business Relationship Manager for Heartland Payment Systems, JP acquired a long term stay Hotel called Furnished Quarters that generates over $12mm in sales annually. Can you imagine that Heartland let JP go for non-production after scoring this deal for them?
Good for JP, bad for Heartland.
That's when JP started Merchant Advisory Services. Back in 2016.
You might find you find JP skateboarding in a skatepark or DJ'ing at some dive bar when he's not building Merchant Advisory Services Inc.
JP has a long history of projects he's has worked on. Just to ask him to tell you a story one day. :-)
