Jeff developed a passion for photography after purchasing a Yashica FX-103 SLR in the early 1980’s. Armed with his SLR and Tri-X Pan B/W film, Jeff fostered an appreciation and obsession with monochrome images. Today, Jeff uses a digital camera to capture images electronically rather than on black and white film and is enthralled with the unlimited possibilities afforded by today’s digital darkroom, which provides the perfect marriage of his professional career and his passion.
Jeff shares his love of photography with others teaching Lightroom classes and photography seminars. With over thirty years of experience as a software engineer and system architect, Jeff distills digital image technology into easy to understand topics.
When not making or processing images, Jeff can often be found viewing the heavens through his home-made telescope, reading a good techno-thriller novel, or working on his book binding techniques.

Outside of work, I’m fascinated by innovation. I follow topics like AI, blockchain, and space technologies because they’re changing the way we live and work. I’m also passionate about health and wellness, particularly how preventative care can improve lives.
When I’m not working, I’m usually outdoors hiking. Traveling and food are two of my biggest passions. There’s nothing better than experiencing new cultures, trying local cuisine, and meeting new people. It’s what keeps me curious and inspired. That same curiosity drives my approach to work—staying ahead of industry shifts, exploring new technologies, and helping businesses navigate the evolving crypto landscape.
