Andrew Jonathan Masanto (born May 17, 1982) is an American entrepreneur, former lawyer and collaborative artist. An early founder in Web3, Masanto started two unicorn / top 100 cryptocurrencies (Reserve (2019) and Hedera Hashgraph (2017)) as Founding CMO and in 2021 started Nillion as Founding CSO. Outside of web3, Masanto started Higher Click marketing agency (exited in 2012), Petlab Co (named the fastest growing pet company in the USA by Entrepreneur Magazine), and has been recognized as one of the top marketers in digital, winning several industry awards and having guest lectured at Harvard, Oxford, MIT and Columbia Universities. The cryptocurrencies and companies Masanto founded tallied a combined market capitalization of as high as $35 billion in 2021. As avid digital art collectors, he and his brother, Chris Masanto, own some of the most significant NFT pieces in existence, including an Ether Rock, one of 10 rarest Bored Apes and Right Click Save As by XCOPY (bought in partnership with Snoop Dog / Cozomo de Medici for a record-breaking $7m in 2021). Masanto also creates art as founder of the ANONA art collaborative, which has released several award-winning video, music and canvas based works of art.
Masanto owns one of the largest biohacking and longevity groups in New York City, BiohackingGroup.com, and has appeared in several popular podcasts and books on the topic, including the Ben Greenfield podcast and Dave Asprey’s best selling book “Game Changers: What Leaders, Innovators, and Mavericks Do to Win at Life”.
Prior to his emergence as an entrepreneur, Masanto earned dual degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Sydney. Upon graduation he moved to London to work as a lawyer for Linklaters. He was subsequently inspired by entrepreneurial legal clients to start his first company - the Higher Click Marketing Agency. Higher Click attracted high profile clients such as Macy's, Atari and Athlon Sports and was eventually sold to Growth Pulse for an undisclosed amount.
Masanto maintains that his greatest professional achievement has been the success of his employees, mentees, friends and investors, many of whom became first-time multi-millionaires after joining his enterprises (see Entreprenuer Magazine Article and Linked In recommendations below).
In his personal life, Masanto enjoys unusual and adventurous pastimes, such as training to become a Monk with Ananda Marga in Africa, Wim Hof cold exposure training in Finland, creating collaborative art with ANONA, camping in the Sahara Desert and excursions to Burning Man.
