Central Oregon Avalanche Center (COAC) was created to provide snow & avalanche information & increase avalanche awareness/education in Central Oregon. The Central Oregon Avalanche Association (COAA) was founded in 2009 & became a Type 2 Avalanche Center in 2017. COAC is a non-profit funded by community support.
