Michael Klibaner

Michael Klibaner is the Head of Asia Pacific Real Estate Research at BlackRock in Hong Kong. Previously Michael was the Head of Research for JLL in Greater China. He led a team of 50 researchers in the firm’s 15 Greater China offices to cover the office, retail, residential, and industrial property sectors in 35 Tier I, II and III cities. As a key advisor to property investors and developers, he looked after JLL’s industry leading China Real Estate Intelligence Service (REIS) and Logistics Intelligence Service (LIS). He has authored numerous white papers, including one most recently looking at the impact of ecommerce on China's logistics and retail property sectors, while contributing to regional and global research initiatives in areas such as sustainable development, transparency and capital flows. Mr. Klibaner studied Applied Math and Economics at Princeton University. He a member of the Board of Governors at AmCham Hong Kong and former Chairman of the Real Estate Committee at AmCham Shanghai. He is a member of the Research Committee at ANREV and a member of the Asia Pacific Research Council at ICSC. He is a frequent commentator on China’s real estate markets, appearing in print and broadcast media and speaking at conferences around the Region.
