Pilar is a consultant specializing in education, publishing, and gender equality, with over 12 years of experience. She has designed and led hybrid training programs for women entrepreneurs in emerging markets, equipping them with skills for financial access and sustainable growth. Originally from Guatemala, she has lived in nine countries and is now based in Mexico City. She has worked with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, Pro Mujer, and the IFC’s Invest2Equal project, focusing on gender-lens investing. Previously, she founded Zamna, a social enterprise creating fair-trade jobs for incarcerated women. She holds a Master’s in Social Entrepreneurship from USC and a Journalism degree from Sorbonne Nouvelle.
