Dr. John Peabody is the President and co-founder of Peabody Health Philanthropies, a foundation he co-founded with his wife Camellia to improve the quality of healthcare by using scientifically-validated patient simulations to lower the cost of care and improve patient outcomes in low-and-middle-income-countries. He is a professor at the University of California, San Francisco and Los Angeles. John is an expert in health care measurement, a business leader in standardizing clinical practice and has been the principal investigator or contributor on more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and several books. These publications cover topics ranging from care quality, development of clinical measurement tools, and the link between practice standardization and lowering health care costs. Dr. Peabody and his team’s mission-based work is to improve healthcare for patients, particularly underserved populations. Together, they have developed the globally-adopted standard clinical practice variation measurement tool, Clinical Performance and Value (CPV®) simulations, which underlies their mission and is the foundation for his academic research and QURE Healthcare.
