Hello. I'm Nick. I'm a designer by trade and a photographer for fun, but right now, I'm focused on production analytics and process/workflow improvement. Despite a multitude of interests and variety of work experiences, I've found that there's always been one constant thread. No matter where I am or where I've been, I ask one question: "How can we do this better?" Here are a few examples: - As a designer at Innovative Mattress Solutions, I created a revamped template system to allow easy conversion of a weekly ad to multiple newspaper standards. This allowed us to quickly create large quantities of ads every week for a variety of locations without having to rebuild each ad from scratch. - As an inventory clerk at Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, I discovered a way to eliminate the manual entry of hundreds of lines of numerical data during each daily inventory count. This increased accuracy by eliminating human error while also increasing efficiency. - As the imaging lead at Rue Gilt Groupe, I spent my free time teaching myself the basics of Javascript and Applescript, which allowed me to introduce custom Photoshop automation to the imaging process. These scripts helped double imaging efficiency and increase image quality while reducing imaging errors. Please reach out if I can help you do something better.

I began work in the industry as a teenager in Wisconsin, and moved to Boston four years ago where I began to use data center experience in cloud environments. I have a colocation at a data center in Somerville to keep learning and practicing new emerging technologies.
