As an online AI and marketing student at the University of Maryland Global Campus, I am passionate about connecting people with brands and voices that resonate deeply with them. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in management information systems, which allows me to combine my creativity and business acumen.
Through my exploration of living in various cities, while interning in industries ranging from finance, entertainment, PR, fashion, and marketing, I have recognized my strengths in nurturing relationships, storytelling, and creative problem-solving. My decision to acutely design my post-high school educational experience to my passions and the growing need for adaptable talent within the workforce is a testament.
Being homeschooled for most of my primary education by my mother instilled values of curiosity, authenticity, and ingenuity. My mother tailored my curriculum to my learning style, interests, and strengths, in the process gave me a deep sense of self-awareness.
Developing self-awareness has led me to the real reason for my explorations, community. Each time I traveled to a new city, I found myself starting over again and again trying to establish relationships and a sense of normalcy. I had to adapt to each environment and become comfortable with being vulnerable and bridging connections with new people. I fell in love with talking to strangers on the subway, building relationships with co-workers, and introducing myself to students at local colleges in the cities I lived in.
I realized the beauty in the microcosms I created for myself the abundance of creativity, support, and opportunities that each blend of personalities presents, and how much of my success thus far is directly attributed to the village that stands with me.
My love for building relationships frames the creative and storytelling lens through which I approach brand partnerships with a cohesive narrative, mutual value-add, and focus on long-term impact. My mission is to leverage my problem-solving skills, range of creative and business capabilities, and curiosity to generate engagement and establish long-term relationships for brands to resonate with their consumers.
