I'm from the suburbs of South Florida. I couldn't stand the humidity so I went to college in California (UCLA). When I first came to campus, I found myself standing in front of Jackie Robinson's statue every day. I could not get over the idea that alumni like him had walked the same steps as me when they were my age. That made me realize that I was in an environment where anything was possible, so I dared to dream big. At that time, four years ago, I had to work at Wendy's because I was rejected by every tech company I applied to. Since then, I’m fortunate to have been the founder of a venture-backed startup, the CTO of a fast-growing YC company, and a backend engineer at Robinhood during its brightest days. These achievements are just the first few steps of the mountain I want to climb. Why am I doing this? Because the best experience of my life happened when I was deeply inspired by an idea, and gave it my undivided focus for four years through disheartening failure and rejuvenating success. My career journey made me realize that I wanted to pursue an entirely new approach to life — one where I would strive to be my best in everything important to me, like developing my physique and being a great boyfriend. Through my life journey, I want everyone to experience more out of their own lives. We only live for 100 years, but the mark we leave on the world is permanent. I’m far from achieving that life approach, and I don’t know what my future looks like. But the end result isn’t that important to me. I just want to be able to look back knowing I took each action intentionally, made the tougher decision when it was right, and lived life in a way that I can be proud of. Paolo graduated from UCLA in 2021 with a BA in Political Science, and a knack for predicting trends. He has sold over $500k in products on various online marketplaces, leveraging his domain expertise and customer insights. He has also gained valuable experience in the startup ecosystem, as the President of Bruin Entrepreneurs, the Managing Director of Startup Labs, and a member of the Investments Team at Plug and Play, the world's largest startup accelerator and a leading VC firm. He has worked with the GP to source, invest, and integrate early-stage software startups into the PNP network, and has managed and expanded several programs for promising students and university partners. Paolo's core competencies include startup development, strategy, and consulting, and he is motivated by creating positive impact and value through innovation and collaboration.

Hi! I'm a passionate and motivated student who loves marketing, business development, operations, and digital storytelling. Through the founding of my own $500k company in high school, my social media consulting agency, and my work in numerous startups, I've developed both analytical and creative skills that will bring your company to new definitions of success. Some of the most exciting projects that I've worked on are raising over $15,000 for the American Cancer Society, creating content for companies such as Hilton Hotels, Bose, Sephora, Uber, Ulta, and Marc Jacobs, and interviewing the Olympic gymnastics team through UCLA social channels!
