Derek Zagami is known for creating untraditional TV with his energetic storytelling. He has been creating content since he was a freshman in high school and has made his mark within the industry. At the young age of 15 Derek started his own YouTube series called The Derek Z Show. After graduating from high school, Derek decided that moving to New York City would be the next big step in advancing his career. This had always been a dream of his and was never afraid to back down from a challenge. Following his dreams and moving to the big apple not only proved to be a challenge at a young age but also helped Derek create a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Having worked with brands of the likes of Chanel, Balmain, and Chopard, and media powerhouses like Bravo and Entertainment One, Derek understands the power and necessity of original video content. With his unique vision and business acumen, Derek has made it his mission to deliver material that will help any brand evolve.

I work as a wildland firefighter for the Great Basin Smokejumpers, which allows me to pursue my love for adventure and conservation through seasonal work. I find joy in aligning myself with companies whose values and impact I trust, and I am interested in pursuing projects related to video production, photography, videography, and multimedia journalism. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with various local farms in Italy, marine biologists in Mexico, and tourist companies in Nicaragua and Switzerland. Additionally, I have assisted several local nonprofits and artists across the United States. My area of expertise is videography and photography, with a focus on digital storytelling. I have gained experience producing a sailing television show for the Nautical Channel for one season and participating as a cast member on Bravo's reality television show, Below Deck. This has given me valuable insight into large-scale production shows' workings. I am confident that my skills and qualities would make me a valuable addition to your team.
