Mark is the Co-Founder of Bonfire Ventures. He is also the Founder and largest investor in Double M Partners, I & II, early-stage VC funds; the Founder of Mull Capital, an evergreen fund that invests directly in startups and other venture funds; and the founder of Double M Capital, a family office. Mark's role in significant business deals is impressive. In 1993, Bill Daniels (Known as the Father of Cable TV) hired Mark to build his international M&A investment group focused on Telecom, Cable TV, Wireless Communications, ISPs, and Data Centers. Mark was instrumental in its 2007 sale to RBC Capital Markets as a senior partner. From 1993-2010, he closed more than 100 M&A & private equity deals as large as $10 billion, advising clients such as Carlyle, Altice, Liberty Global, Providence Equity & Cinven in 17 countries in industries including Broadband & Cable TV, Mobile, Internet, Data & Telephony services, Digital Media and Satellite TV. Mark's leadership roles are a testament to his capabilities. He retired from RBC in 2010 as head of RBC Daniels’ European Media and Telecom group. He then was appointed COO of the City of LA and Senior Advisor to former Mayor Villaraigosa. In these positions, he oversaw LAX and the Convention Center, in addition to the Planning, Building & Safety and Office of Small Business Depts. Mark has lived and worked in SF, Paris, London, Denver, and NYC and currently resides in LA with his wife and two children.
