Dom Perella is a longtime executive at high-profile companies in AI (Character AI) and social media (Snap). Prior to that, he was Partner in an international law firm and an award-winning advocate in the U.S. Supreme Court. Dom currently is Chief Legal Officer & SVP-Global Affairs at Character AI, an AI entertainment app and research platform that leads the B2C AI space in engagement. Character was named Google Play AI App of Year in 2023. Dom previously was Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Branch, a $4B Series F tech company based in Palo Alto. Prior that that, Dom spent seven years as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Snap. He oversaw Litigation, IP, Regulatory, Compliance, and ESG for Snap and was a member of the Global Leadership Team. He served as a key partner on Snap’s IPO preparation. The compliance function he built was named U.S. Compliance Program of the Year in 2022. Prior to Snap, Dom was a Partner in the Supreme Court & Appellate Litigation practice at Hogan Lovells US LLP, representing Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. Supreme Court and counseling them on telecoms, media, and complex regulatory issues.
