My software development journey began as a childhood hobby and curiousity, I loved computers and using them to solve puzzles. It really sunk in when I made my first video game (hangman) in vanilla Javascript and I loved the process of learning how to make the computer do things. Soon after, I started working as an intern in a blockchain related startup when blockchain was still in its early days, I learned of PHP and the backend, and that was even more exciting. jQuery was fun, but then came the frontend frameworks like Angular and React, things just kept getting better. My favorite part was when the industry started shifting towards Typescript because I realized how much I enjoyed strongly typed languages. I currently have over 7 years of experience in all things Javascript, HTML/CSS, Node.js, multiple SQL and NoSQL languages, PHP, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Over 3 years in Typescript, worked on many projects where Docker was a staple of our toolbase, also a hobby C++ game developer, architecting systems and making 3d models and textures (still not very good at this but learning). I even gave Go a try for some personal projects. The passion for learning algorithms and solving puzzles never waned for me, and if there is a problem to be solved, I almost always greatly enjoy the process. I especially enjoy the process of optimization, making software run faster and use fewer resources is really rewarding.
