Hi there, I'm Ethan! Driven by a passion for patient care and a deep curiosity about the surgical field, I’m transitioning into a career as a Surgical Technologist—building on years of hands-on clinical, research, and customer-facing experience. As a Patient Care Coordinator I gained critical exposure to procedural workflows, regularly setting up in-office procedures, managing medical inventory, and coordinating with surgical teams. I took the initiative to observe surgeries firsthand, which sparked my decision to pivot toward the operating room. I became known for anticipating provider needs, streamlining patient prep, and maintaining accurate supply levels—all of which contributed to smoother clinical operations and improved patient outcomes. Alongside my clinical experience, I’ve completed research and development internships at Calico, CytomX Therapeutics, and Bio-Techne, where I supported drug discovery, analyzed translational data, and collaborated on cross-functional biotech projects. These roles strengthened my analytical mindset and attention to detail—skills I now apply in surgical training. Outside of healthcare and research, I also worked as a Starbucks barista, where I thrived in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. There, I sharpened my multitasking, teamwork, and customer service skills—qualities that carry over seamlessly to surgical support roles. Currently completing my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley while enrolled in a Surgical Technology program, I’m ready to bring my initiative, adaptability, and multi-disciplinary experience to a dynamic surgical team. I’m especially drawn to fast-paced, collaborative environments where patient care and precision are top priorities.
