Aida Miron’s work is grounded in the fields of Architecture and Landscape Design. She is the co-founder and partner of the Landscape Architecture studio: La Casona Garden Design in Miami, a research-design-build practice with a focus on ecological restoration. Landscape Architecture projects include: the Oolite Arts by Barozzi Veiga, the Rubell Museum Miami by Selldorf Architects in collaboration with Juan Valadez, the Fotografiska Museum & NeueHouse with Rockewell Group, STA & Culture Works. Projects in Miami & Brazil with Carlos Motta, Jacobsen Arquitetura & Studio Tupi. Project in Miami with BIG, Strang Design, Saota, Yodezeen & Brillhart Architecture + projects in Mexico, the Caribbean & NYC.
She has over 18 years of experience as an Architectural, Landscape and Lighting Designer, working on a wide range of cultural, civic, educational, residential, hospitality, commercial and urban projects in the US, Latin America & the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Examples include: the MIT Music Building by Sanaa & Buro Happold, the Al-Mujadilah Cultural Center in Doha by Diller Scofidio + Renfro & Buro Happold, the Book Tower by ODA & Buro Happold, the Branson Estate with Buro Happold, the Aston Martin Tower by BMA Arquitectos & TKondos, the Pre-Colombian Museum in Costa Rica & Archeological Miraflores Museum in Guatemala with Gensler & TKondos, and contributions to projects by Peter Zumthor, Snohetta, Marcio Kogen, Arthur Casas, among others.
She has taught Architecture at the Cooper Union School of Architecture & Pratt Institute, & Landscape Architecture & Urbanism at PCU/Hunter College in NYC. She has served as an academic guest critic at various universities including: Columbia University, RISD, Pratt, the Cooper Union, Parsons, NYIT along with other institutions in Europe. Her work has been featured in multiple publications and exhibitions.
